Troubleshooting a Lenovo laptop
ThinkPads use Enter at the logo for the startup menu, F1 for BIOS and F12 for boot devices; IdeaPad, Yoga and Legion models have a small Novo button for recovery and BIOS. Lenovo Vantage handles updates, hardware scan and charge thresholds, and System Update installs drivers and firmware. ThinkPads with a built-in battery also have a small emergency reset hole on the underside for a power-related fault.
The machine type on the label under the base identifies the exact configuration, and it is what Lenovo support asks for.
